The magic of Discovery has made it’s way to London. Yesterday, was the first event in a series of no-cost whole-day CPD sessions developed to help teachers prepare for the new national curriculum. Delivered by Espresso Education, now a part of Discovery Education, this first-of-its-kind event covered what’s new in the national curriculum and practical steps teachers can take to ensure success in their implementation.
With a strong focus on technology integration, pedagogical experts from Espresso and Discovery Education identified practical implementation strategies and presented exciting ideas on how best to deliver the new curriculum, while developing a 21st century classroom.
Commenting prior to the event, Christine Major, Professional Development Director, Espresso, said, “This event, the first of its kind, will concentrate on the fundamentals of instruction, curriculum implementation and thought leadership. With a strong emphasis on digital media and technology as an enabler, teachers will explore best practices that can be implemented immediately in the classroom. Most importantly, it’s about connecting educators with their most valuable resource – each other.”
