On Tuesday, January 31, 2017, the American Heart Association and NFL Play 60 hosted a live virtual field trip with Discovery Education from Houston, Texas, for students around the world to learn how fun and easy it is to get heart healthy. Students in Ms. Carter’s science classes from ML King Middle School in Atlanta Public Schools, wanted to support their team in the upcoming Super Bowl LI with this interactive virtual experience!
Take a sneak peek into Ms. Carter’s class as we exercised our bodies and our minds to learn with the experts from the AHA and the NFL. We learned about healthy eating habits, how to take our pulse rate, and some simple ways to make sure that we “get moving” for at least 60 minutes per day. On our 360 video, you’ll be able to join the fun and see what students were doing and learning throughout the experience. You can also hear from DEN STAR, Jennifer Hall, who shares a bit about how impactful it is to participate in a virtual field trip.
