Illinois DEN STAR Heidi Morgan, was selected as a MIDWEST SPOTLIGHT EDUCATOR for 2014 for the METC Conference. This recognition honor leaders from the region in education technology, whose practices are making a difference for students as well as teachers. Pennsylvania DEN STAR Anthony Grisillo was recently named  2014 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year during a Keystone Awards of Excellence event in Hershey, PA.  An educator in the Rose Tree Media School District, Anthony teaches students in the district’s Academically Gifted Program at both Glenwood and Media elementary schools. STARs in the News: Diane Ripollone

North Carolina DEN STAR Diane Ripollone was recently chosen for the Siemens STEM Academy Research Experience. During the experience, she took part in a research opportunity with George Last, a geologist working on the Coyote Canyon Mammoth Dig Site. Three other teachers made up their team and for two weeks they researched the dig site.

Idaho DEN STAR and Wendell School District teacher, C.J. Fattig, wrote a grant to remodel her non-science classroom into a Science classroom.
