This site has made increasing your vocabulary as easy as calling for takeout.  Vocabsushi  helps you improve in bit sized ways using games and audio files. Take a preliminary test (or enter the test, i.e, SAT of your choice).  The greatest part is the sentences all come from current newspapers.  So you can improve your current event knowledge and vocabulary  simultaneously.  You need to register but the site is free, and as you improve, more difficult words are added to your list.  What level are you working on?
