Amazing Cells (sponsored by the University of Utah) offers trips inside a cell (complete with narration) as well as a series of interactive options (I really liked the comparison of cell size), lesson plans, and videos. This is part of a larger site dealing with numerous aspects of heredity (see Learn.Genetics). The bulk of this site is high school (and above) in content- yet some of the material could be applied in middle school classrooms.
