The Google Cultural Institute allows you to search for specific events or explore the timelines with images, videos, and text. Some of their content partners include Getty Images, LIFE Photo Collection, as well as Smithsonian collections. I browsed through Anne Frank’s story and while some of the images were familiar, others were new. This would work well for history classes- you can also search by decades.
