Civil Rights at the movies

January 11th, 2013 · 2 Comments · Content - Social Studies, iPad, Video/movies

Please preview these iMovie trailers from Pam Chartock’s 8th grade MultiCuture class.  They created the videos as end of unit assessment for their Civil Rights study.  Katie Llera and I provided a starting point with Discovery Education images via a shared Google+ link.  This was a weeklong project (using the iPads only 3 periods) culminating with today’s screening (complete with popcorn).  Students applauded their peers and the shared compliments as well as constructive feedback. Special thanks to Mrs. Chartock for her help with the rubric and other process improvements.
