Small or fast or slow- it is all exhilarating!

From the very slow to the very fast- and then on to the minuscule, Louis Schwartzberg’s Hidden Miracles of the Natural World is breathtaking!  This excerpt is from a recent TED talk. It is a natural fit for the sciences, but I bet you could use it as a writing prompt or explore the mathematical relationships.

It certainly is exhilarating. A masterpiece of cinematography and what a superb springboard for writing and discussion of so many things including the role of technology in opening windows to knowledge. There are mathematics connections but this takes a little more thought on the part of the teacher and should not be overlooked. Great film!
