Become a Spelling Wizard

Here’s a free Scholastic site that allows you to quickly create a word scramble or search based on a spelling list. You could use it in the class (on an SMART Board) or share the link for students to work at home. While you can print the end results, there is no “Save” feature.

Check out Socrative. This new site (currently in testing) provides students (and teachers) a can access from any internet device. I’ve tried it with desktops, laptops, iPod touches, iPads, and smart phones. The process works from the web or an app. You can use their pre-made examples or create your own prompt or quiz. [...]
