The last two days have been a whirlwind of information regarding the power of the tools available to educators on the Discovery Education Network and a variety of other technology tools. I am hoping that I will be able to get a handle on all of the resources and begin to develop ideas for helping other educators start to make use of these great tools.
There is amazing power behind an active community of practice when educators stay connected following any type of professional development. Hopefully this blog and other new formats will help extend my learning and allow us to stay connected. Amazing things happen when people collaborate and build knowledge as a team. Hopefully we’ll be able to extend that practice into the classroom and help students learn to collaborate and function as problem solving teams. The world that we are preparing them for demands that they have such skills.
