TechCamp 2008 - A MI DEN Event
TechCamp 2008 - August 19 & 20, 2008, Berrien Springs, MIThe Michigan DEN event TechCamp 2008 is a two-day technology integration event featuring over 20 hands-on sessions for all K-12 educators. The host is the Instructional Technology Department of Berrien RESA in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Discovery Education is providing support for TechCamp 2008.Matt Monjan of Discovery Education will deliver a fascinating luncheon keynote on Tuesday, How to Reach the 21st Century Mind. He will also present two concurrent sessions.
A few of the other presenters include:
- Author Liz Klob will present the Wednesday lunch keynote, From Toy to Tool, that will focus using cell phones in the classroom. Find out more at Liz’s blog From Toy to Tool.
- South Haven Teacher Cindy Liscow will share a session on Digital Storytelling.
- Michigan DEN Leadership Council member and Berrien Springs Middle School teacher Emma Haygood will present Web Tools for Teachers.
- Ben Rimes, MACUL board member, will focus on literacy in a session called Read, Please!
- Coloma Middle School teacher Tonya Kimmerly is going to lead a session entitled Google Galore. This session will highlight some of the FREE tools available from Google.
