Budget Cuts are here

We’ve been very lucky to have the funds to train staff and the community for awhile at my school. Times are changing. We will all have to do our homework at home and brush up on the latest skills via the net. Lucky for us we purchased some software from Discovery Education and Atomic Learning before the cuts. I learn from other Educators out there new places to find helpful hints to pass on to my teachers.

Training went well

The Training for my teachers turned out well. I used some of Lance’s ‘Lost in Translation’ archived webinar and many of the websites I have gotten from other DEN blogs or from FETC 2008.
One of the many good things that happened from the training was now getting emails with new links of terrific learning sites from our own teachers. For example the TED.com site. Not only is it filled with educational video, you can easily download the videos. No membership no worries. http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/206  Try it with this one on underwater astonishments.
