Today was a Day of Discovery with Discovery Education at our baseball park here in Houston. We went over the components of Discovery Education, learned about Photostory and Moviemaker ;0), toured Minute Maid Park, and learned about Google Earth and how to embed videos. I am really excited to share what I learned with the staff at my school and hope to share with my district as well. I feel a lot more comfortable with the components-like the builder tools. I really think that teachers will like the new format. I know that most teachers only use DE streaming for the videos and would be amazed to see how much more there is. I will be writing an e-mail to my district technology coordinator to let her know my thoughts. What do you think about Discovery Education streaming? Have you already or do you plan to share it with others?

Hi Dorie,
Wow – the Day of Discovery sounds like a great experience, and it must have helped to solidify some of what we learned at the DENNI. I agree that so many teachers only touch on what is available on DE Streaming. I love all the new features, and I can’t wait to share the information I’ve learned with my teachers this year.
I actually wrote in my blog about how to use DE Streaming for differentiation, including information on the builders. Check it out…
