Yesterday, will.i.am, NASA, and Discovery Education got together to celebrate the launch of a new initiative, i.am.STEAM, designed to inspire students in the science, technology, engineering, arts, and math fields. As part of the launch, will.i.am’s song, “Reach for the Stars” was the first music ever transmitted from Mars. Check out Discovery’s coverage here.
