TTDPromoHigh Schoolers: Participate in the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge — developed in partnership with Discovery Education.

Not in high school, yet? Keep reading.

We’ve all heard about the dangers of driving and some of the particular obstacles facing teenagers and new drivers. If you’re in high school and you care about keeping yourselves, your families, your friends, and your community safe on the roads, please consider entering the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge. It is a super cool, creative, and fun way to encourage safe driving.

This challenge is open for high school students, only, but it’s never too early to start thinking about safe driving. If you’re not a high school student, you can still play the Heads Up driving simulation.

Here is one of the Top 10 Finalist entries from last year:

The Details

  1. Entrants create a 60-90 second video that promotes safe driving and submit the video at ToyotaTeenDriver.com/Challenge, by March 13th.
  2. The Top 10 Finalist Videos will appear on the website in mid-April and the public will vote for their favorite over a two-week period.
  3. The winner will receive $15,000 plus the chance to professionally reshoot the video into a TV-ready PSA.

Hope to see many of you enter by the deadline… MARCH 13!

  11. A (Reply) on Friday 7, 2014

I’m not in high school, but I can make a great video. This is kinda unfair since I’m practically a kid movie maker. I mean, if I were in HS I would accept the challenge.

    • Jeanette (Reply) on Friday 7, 2014

Hi A! Well, this makes me think of two things: 1) you will definitely rock this challenge when you get to high school — something to look forward to; and, 2) there are lots of other challenges for kid video — what about our Young Scientist Challenge? Check the post 5 posts back from this one and see if that interests you. Also, keep your eyes on this space for more challenges for kids of all ages.

Hi Leah. Sorry for the delayed response. (And, thanks for jumping in, Erika!) What do you mean by “…what happened to board builder?” It hasn’t changed on our end. Are you having trouble with it? You can call our helpline at 800-323-9084. Or, let me know in the comments what’s happening and I’ll see if I can help you. Thanks! Jeanette
