pieHappy Pi Day from London, England!

We’ve spent this week in England visiting schools and meeting a lot of teachers and students.  One of the schools we visited had a beautiful garden that is home to 5 chickens.

The students take care of the chickens and then they sell the eggs to parents and community members.  Take a look at the picture of the chicken coop and see if you can you solve the math problem below.

In between visits, we had a little bit of time to explore different parts of the country.

One of my highlights was visiting this cathedral in Lichfield.  Check out the video.

My colleague is a history buff and enjoyed our visit to this park full of spring flowers.  Check out the video.

There is a great deal to discover in England.  What can you learn about the United Kingdom by searching through Discovery?

    when I first read the title of the blog I was wondering if England schools are different than American schools ,but now that i have read it it seems so much different .I think it would be crazy to have a chicken coop at my school…LOL :P :)
