pieHappy Pi Day from London, England!

We’ve spent this week in England visiting schools and meeting a lot of teachers and students.  One of the schools we visited had a beautiful garden that is home to 5 chickens.

The students take care of the chickens and then they sell the eggs to parents and community members.  Take a look at the picture of the chicken coop and see if you can you solve the math problem below.

In between visits, we had a little bit of time to explore different parts of the country.

One of my highlights was visiting this cathedral in Lichfield.  Check out the video.

My colleague is a history buff and enjoyed our visit to this park full of spring flowers.  Check out the video.

There is a great deal to discover in England.  What can you learn about the United Kingdom by searching through Discovery?

Pies…pies…pies…I cannot express the delight that pies bring to my tummy! Especially natural apple pies, picture them with a crunchy golden crust, sprinkled with cinnamon, and warm out of the oven! Gotta love pie !
