Last week I had the good fortune to host our Doodle 4 Google virtual field trip. If you are a fan of Google, I highly recommend watching the archived event here: http://www.discoveryeducation.com/doodle4google/ My favorite parts of our virtual field trips are being able to show students places that they might not ever be able to go, and getting to interact with students from all across the country. I love the power of technology to connect us in real-time to classrooms abroad. We pull questions from the registration form as well as from social media.
While you’re watching the archive, you’ll notice that I rode a bike that was brightly colored. A little secret that you wouldn’t know unless you were there is that those bikes are sitting all over campus, ready for anyone to hop on and take a ride. That’s right, you don’t need to rent them or bring your own. You can simply pick one up and take it for a spin. How cool!
I hope that you enjoy the show. And, if you’d like to see more of our virtual field trips, go to: http://dlc.com/DEvfts
