There’s a design and drafting classroom in Pennsylvania referred to as “The Firm” and led by a teacher named Scott Didra. The classroom gets its name because it is run like an architecture firm. Students in this class have build a small scale house and a ticket booth for their own athletic field. Next Tuesday, Discovery Education will be livecasting from this classroom, allowing students to go inside Mr. Didra’s class and experience the amazing environment for themselves.
Join us — you can register yourself, as a student, if you have access to a computer and are available at stream time; or you can encourage your teacher to register and let the whole class participate.
Register HERE for the event on Tuesday, April 22, at 1:00pm ET.
Does one of your teachers do something cool like this in the classroom? Do you have real-world, authentic projects? We’d love to hear about them in the Comments section!
