Summer Series Continues

Doodle4Google VFT Summer SeriesTuesday is EXPLORE day in the Discovery Student Network Summer Series. Each Tuesday, through different resources and activities, we’ll be encouraging you to EXPLORE.

This week, we’re focusing on ART and your exploration today will take you to Google Headquarters for a virtual field trip. You’ll be e-meeting the Doodlers at Google, those artists and thinkers whose job it is to design the doodles that you see on holidays and other special days throughout the year.

Check out the virtual field trip, linked from the Summer Series Art Board, and then complete our daily activity.

Today’s activity: Google often creates Doodles to commemorate the birthday of someone famous. Create a Doodle that could be used on your birthday to celebrate you!

    Who gets to do this?

Hi Anna. Any student with a Discovery Education account gets to do this! If you are reading this, I’m assuming you have an account. Go to the SEARCH bar at the top of your landing page and type in “Summer Series” — you’ll find the Boards with all the activities and links to resources, as they launch throughout the summer. Have fun.
