The DEN Virtual Conference was a great success in South Carolina!  We had over 20 attendees at our sites in Columbia and Greenville.  The Events Team members who planned these events included Donna Teuber (me), Beth Thrailkill, Patty Tucker, and Martha Bohnenberger.  The Columbia event was hosted at Ridge View High School and the Greenville event was hosted by Martha B. at The Sterling School. 

The teachers who attended the Columbia event enjoyed the virtual keynotes as well as hands-on sessions.  Patty Tucker provided everyone with great Web 2.0 sites, and Beth Thrailkill walked everyone through the steps of becoming a STAR.  I taught the group how to find waypoints on a GPS.  The GPS lesson culminated in a hunt for chocolates!

 This was a great opportunity for us to meet other educators from our neighboring districts.  We have exchanged e-mail addresses and hope to keep in touch at other DEN events in the future.   Check out our PhotoStory of the Columbia event!
