Happy Holidays everyone! It’s almost time for winter break! Yippee! (I think I love this season as much as the students do )

Hi all!

I’m so excited! 2 other STAR teachers and I went to training today for our weightless flight in a couple of months. It sounds so exciting and what a wonderful learning experience for us!

 If anyone has any ideas for a lab we can do while onboard, please comment to this post and let me know your idea…it may just make it onto the flight with us!

If anyone hasn’t heard of Edmodo, it is a super website. My students comment that it is, “like Facebook, but better!” (Can you imagine them thinking that anything is better than Facebook? heehee!)

They are constantly adding new services and enhancing the ones that they have now. Best of all the site is free.

With Edmodo you can post messages, assign work, have students turn in work, create polls, discuss topics, etc. The students are also able to post messages to the teacher or to the class…but not to each other! This makes it easier to monitor and manage.

Here in Hawaii we are getting ready to start our 4th week back in school. The time is just flying by…

With a year full of furloughs, budget cuts, renovations, and endless packing, DE has been a ray of sunshine! We have all enjoyed getting to know this resource and can’t wait to use it next year.
