Just relaxing here at home with the boys (my sons that is). Wife is off at a Body Shop show. Just a few minutes before heading to watch GhostBusters on the tube. My 5year old wants to watch it so I’ll sit with him and be the parental guide.
Here’s the tech post of the week (or so). Those of you who like to listen to music while you work I can across one site that I like to have going during school and at home while I am on the computer.
That site is Pandora.
You can set up your own radio station based on a singer/group’s style, a genre, or a type of song. You can even set up a mixed station that is a mixture of all your set stations. Check it out at your leasure.

| Attend the DEN Virtual Conference, February 2. Connect with educators from all over the country during this unique professional development experience where you can attend in-person, online or both.

The day will feature keynote presentations from Discover Education’s own Hall Davidson and Lance Rougeux that will be broadcast to each of the regional gatherings. In between the keynote presentations, participants will attend breakout sessions presented by local STAR Discovery Educators.
I said that I would present at the upcoming virtual conference (just to those there in person). What was I thinking?
I have only done small workshops with the staff at my school or shared a bit at district/county workshops. Now I have set my sights where people from around the state will be attending. At least I won’t be seen online. Oh Boy!
I know that I can do it but the butterflies are starting.
I have some ideas about what I can share. I only hope that I can pull it off and not present anything that everyone has see or done a “million times before”.
Oh well, it is my first and I’ll do my best.

I hope your holidays were good to you and your family. My boys had a blast and are enjoying their loot. Today’s the last day of vacation for me. My wife and Sam went back last Thursday. They had a snow day on Wed.
As I had not posted anything in a while (the whole break) I thought I would try to put something up. I have 2 websites that I put together for my EDMT (Educational Media Technology) courses at EMU. The first was my first stab at a site. It is pretty simple and has not been updated in a while.

The second is my professional site that I should be adding to as I continue along the EDMT program track and in my teaching. There are a few neat links and projects I put together at that site.
