About Add-Art | Add-Art
I really love this Firefox extension. I strongly recommend Adblock Plus which hides most of the advertising that you see on web pages but I am now a believer in Add-Art. Now you can get the ads replaced with art.
We have 3 more weeks of school left but my mind is already on vacation.

I heard about this site on the WOW2.0 podcast. I didn’t pay much attention to it at the time. After mentioning it a few times in conversation though to friends of mine that are parents and getting a response of “WOW let me have that site info” I thought I would share it here. So for all of you teachers that happen to also be parents here is an interesting way to start off your summer vacation.
4 easy steps
- The parent sets up a list of chores or tasks (don’t forget reading and playing outside).
- Kids do their chores and check them of.
- Parents check how well the chore was done and give points.
- The kids get to use the points for stuff in Handiland. you can also set up your own rewards that you buy in a real life store.
So try it out and let others know if it does or doesn’t work.

Tag Galaxy
Tag Galaxy is another amazing way to view Flickr photos. I’ve covered other cool ways to search the web and Flickr before. Space Time was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. I little bit later I found PicLens thanks to Kevin Jarrett.
So here is the next great thing - Tag Galaxy. Instead just doing a screenshot this one really needs it’s own screencast to be appreciated.
Check it out!

NES/Reduced Gravity Opportunity
If you are or ever have been a NASA Explorer School, this applies to you. Those of you who have looked at my profile know that I was lucky enough to fly on the reduced gravity jet in 2007. The whole process was an experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Definitely worth the blood, sweat and tears.
Here is more info:
2009 NES Reduced Gravity Flight Opportunity - Application Available Application Deadline: Aug. 13, 2008
NASA Explorer Schools and the Reduced Gravity Flight Office at Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas, announce this year’s opportunity for NES students and NES educators (current and alumni) to design and build a reduced gravity investigation. Three educators and an alternate will travel to Johnson Space Center to fly it on NASA’s Reduced Gravity C-9. The NES Reduced Gravity Flight Opportunity provides a unique experience for NES students and teachers to propose, design, fabricate, fly and evaluate a reduced gravity investigation of their choice over the course of approximately four months. The experience includes scientific research, hands-on investigational design, test operations and educational/public outreach activities.
For more information and the application, visit http://microgravityuniversity.jsc.nasa.gov/nes/
Here is some of the footage from my flight.
