One SMARTboard
I’ve used the SMARTboard during the past couple of summers with the FDEP program and I’ve received about 4 hours training. I’m an advanced beginner, if there is such a thing. I found some great resources through contacts on Twitter and discovered a few on my own. I know there are many interactive activities available through Thinkfinity as well. I’ve placed several links for students that can be used with or without the IWB. These would make good center activities. The PTO seems interested in working towards the purchase of another board.
What is your experience with the interactive white board? Are the students engaged learners, motivated, and enthusiastic? Are the teachers comfortable using the board? Are they eager?

I have had wonderful experiences with SMARTboards. I have found that my students are fully engaged when using the interactive boards. Even when they are just watching other students, they are sort of mesmerized by the techonolgy. Many of the teachers I work with seem to be leery about using them. I had one in my classroom for about a week, and teachers were coming in to check out how it works. I think they are really interested in them but aren’t quite sure how they work. I personally love these interactive boards and wish I had my own in my classroom for every day use.
