Okay,
More than 5 hours later I finally cracked the converter issue. First I was told to convert them to MP4s which didn’t work… so I went back to previous videos that had worked. They were formatted wmv so I tried that. Can you believe that the Sansa converters would not recognize MP4, AVI, or MOV files.

So I downloaded another converter Any Video Converter and used it to convert the videos.  What a slick converter!

Next I used the Video4Fuze program instead of the Sansa converter which allowed me to format the videos for the fuze and then drag and drop them into the video folder.

So a week later, through struggles, phone calls, angry hours of trying different ideas, I finally persisted in getting the MP3 players ready for my students.  Now I have to document for other teachers the process.
