Sock Puppets App

This week I thought I would dedicate a post to one app and ways it can be used authentically in the classroom. The Sock Puppets is a wonderful app that allows you to quickly create your own puppet show.

Tammy Worcester, an awesome ed tech source, has created a step by step process on how to use this app in the classroom:

I hope you get a chance to play with this fun app.  I’m already thinking of ways to implement it in my curriculum.  :)

Hi Friends!

I’ve created this blog so that there is a place where one can find current information for iPad implementation and ideas on how to utilize particular apps in the classroom setting.  For this first post I thought I would pass on two sites with great information for iPad utilization.  The first site gives 14 smart tips for using iPads in the classroom:

14 smart tips

The second site is by one of my favorite educators, Kathy Schrock, who has created an awesome page that implements Bloom’s Taxonomy and the apps that fit each level:

If you notice, the title of this blog is: B.E.A.R.S.   I have lovely prizes for the person or persons who can correctly identify the word for each letter of the acronym.  :)   Please post your answer in the comment section below.

Finally, each week there will be a new post sharing more ideas for iPad implementation.  If there are any requests for a particular level or content area, feel free to post them in the comment section.  I will do my best to locate your requests and share them in the next week’s blog post!
