My DEN Crib by Lee Kolbert

While attending FETC last week, I was horrified to find out that I’ve had a DEN blog sitting out there waiting for me to use, and I’ve not used it. How unlike me to leave something sitting in the closet to collect dust! So, if you’ll forgive my embarrassment, I’d like to offer my apologies to Dembo who puts all of this together and should never, NEVER be ignored and to all of my faithful followers (you know, Mom and Dad… ok, and also Matt Monjan).

Having said that, I’m excited to be opening up this “new” gift from the DEN. I’ve dabbled in blogging for a few years over at GeekyMomma blog, but that’s been a mix of ed tech stuff and opinionated stuff. Hey, who can resist, right? So, I think my plan for this blog will be strictly ed tech stuff (you folks at the DEN, who know me well, can now exhale) and I hope to cross-blog frequently, as I am all about laziness with efficiency.

It seems like I’m always saying thank you to the great folks at the DEN. But they really do so much for me personally as well as the almost 13,000 teachers I represent in my district, not to mention the (how many?) teachers world-wide??? It makes my brain hurt to think of numbers so high! So, thanks DEN for all that you do!

In my next post, I’m going to attempt to list a few of the many tools for teaching I brought with me from my FETC experience.
