Passion quilt(Mi edredon de pasion)

Thank a child for this beauty

“Thank a child for this beauty”
I have been tagged by Kate (and  Steve Dembo as he tossed it out to us all in the DEN).

The rules are simple.
1. Think about what you are passionate about teaching your students.
2. Post a picture from a source like FlickrCC or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about…and give your picture a short title.
3. Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt” and link back to this blog entry.
4. Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.

My picture is from the Bosque Eterno de los Ninos or Childrens Eternal Rainforest in Costa Rica. It began as a grassroot effort by rural schoolchildren in Sweden in 1987 to raise money to purchase forest to preserve it.  Children in 44 countries have assisted in this effort to protect an area measuring 54,000 acres. My passion is to encourage my students to explore the world, experience the planet, embrace the culture and language of others. Global understanding-can make a world of difference!

What a beautiful picture (being a hiker, I am partial to nature pictures). I love your explanation of why you chose this picture.

  2. Pedro Maleno Says:

Nice picture, the jungle must be fascinating. Mine is a bit more urban-like. London is my favourite place in the world (for the time being). My link is http://2bloginlasolana.blogspot.com/2008/02/meme-passion-quilt-london.html
