As I sit here tonight, enduring another summer storm common in coastal Texas, I realize it’s just the beginning. We have had severe weather all day and lucky us… it’s just a good moment for reminding us about preperation. The second gulf storm of the season, Eduoard is heading right for us.

Only one other time has my house been the center path for a storm and that was Rita.  We got the good side of the eyewall thank goodness. We tend to take these storms in stride and just know we are gonna have some clean up afterwards, but man…. is there no end.

I guess its always something! When I lived in LA, it was the fear of falling off into the ocean. In Oklahoma, it was the fear of tornados. When I was in DC, it was the fear of; well, politicians. Like I said, it’s always something! I love having lived all over, but these little moments aren’t my favorite.

So, say a little prayer for South Texas. Luckily, it isn’t supposed to be more than a little wind and rain. That is definitely something to be thankful for…
