Greetings !      On July 8th the new website went live. There are many exciting new features that will enhance your teaching. As with many websites when changes of this magnitude occur somethings do slip by. The discovery technicians are welcoming comments and constantly working to fix any of the bugs that occurred.  Please don’t hesitate to comment in the forums or blogs, be patient and polite as this is a process and they are diligently working for us.    Maine Star educators are currently receiving information for a workshop to go over these changes. The Stars are out there to help for you, don’t be afraid to reach for the Star’s!  While Star gazing should you choose to become a Star be sure to click on the “Become A STAR Discovery Educator” which is found by clicking on the DEN link in the upper menu bar after you log in.

Meet and greet the Maine Leadership DEN Team - Wednesday April 25th 4:30 - 7:00 Sherwood Heights School, Auburn Maine.
Just a note to let you know we have been approved for a meeting this Wednesday! So sorry about the short final notice but with vacation behind us things did not get done as efficiently as they might have, hopefully better late than never. We are planning to meet at Sherwood Heights in Auburn for "Podcasts and Pizza". The webinar on podcasting starts at 5:00pm EST we will have pizza & soda available at 4:30pm, the webinar is "Audacity to Podcast" being given by Jannita Demian. We will have a speaker phone and projector to enhance the webinar. Certificates of attendance will be available upon request. Please RSVP to cmiller@auburnschl.edu so we can have an accurate count. If you need driving directions just ask for them in your email and I’ll email them to you. Any other questions call Mauri Dufour, Maine Events Planner 795-0433 during or evening.     Information was posted about the DEN National Institutes. Some of you may have applied and have not yet received confirmation. Those of you that would like to apply there are a FEW days left. Even though we are still getting pounded with snow I hope you all enjoy the upcoming ‘Spring’ break and safe travels to those of you that will be on the road, water or in the air.

The Leadership Council would like to know about projects and work being done in Maine. Share with us your work and ideas that can be posted on the blog. Let us know what you have been doing to introduce the Discovery Education Network and unitedstreaming into your curriculum. Share your ideas, post a project, send pictures, etc and we’ll post them on the site. Have any ideas for workshops or need assistance setting one up let us help you.
