iBooks Author Gives You the Power to Design Your Own Book, Here’s What You Should Know

Last week Apple released iBooks Author as a free tool to create and design books for the iPad. But is this just a niche tool for creating textbooks or is there something useful you can do with it? If this has not interested you enough, be sure to read the entire post from lifehacker.com.   By the way, one limitation of iBooks Author that is surprising to many deals with the fact it does not export as an epub file.  What is up with that option?  My guess, Apple wanting you to still buy their ebooks.
