Forever in the 8th grade!
Greetings! I am Mrs. Snider, an 8th grade U.S. History teacher in Central California, the southern edge of the Northern California (NORCAL) portion of the CA Discovery Educator Network (DEN). While I’m 21 years young in the teaching profession, I’ve successfully helped 14 groups of 8th graders migrate the trails, passes, byways, and Internet super highway to safely step into 9th grade. The other 7 years were spent as a technology coach in Lodi Unified School District, educating my 7-12 colleagues on the joys of using technology to assist all students access the standards based content of their subject areas. Now that I’m back the classroom with about 200 students, I enjoy using DE Streaming and other technologies on a daily basis to bring U.S. History alive. If you were to ask my students who I am, they might say: “Oh! Mrs. Snider, she’s the Queen of DE.”
