Doodle 4 Google

Google recently sponsored the Doodle 4 Google competition.  K-12 students were invited to reinvent Google’s homepage logo and doodle around the theme “What if…”  One of the state finalists in the K-3 category was from Pennsylvania.  Finalist Emma is STAR DEN member Jim Hopton’s student.  Congratulations to Emma and Jim!!

    Congratulations Emma and Mr. Hopton!
I am so pleased with the positive educational experience that my daughter Emma recieves each day in Jim Hopton’s Art class. Every time she enters Jim’s class she is free to be creative and encouraged to reach her highest potential. I am happy to witness my child being exposed to the Arts with such a wonderful guide by her side…her teacher Mr. Hopton.
    Thanks again,
    Rebecca (Emma’s Mom)

I played around with animoto the other night and had so much fun. My children also got a kick out of seeing themselves flashing across the screen to music. This is a really great tool for displaying something in a fun and enlightning environment.
