It’s been a rough week dealing with issues unique to the technology teacher profession. The first semester has ended at my school and along with it my bridge course from a local university. I’ve had some issues relating to the final project and proper citations. I think kids, no, make that SOCIETY, in general, is not getting enough education on what information online needs to be cited. People tend to think of the ‘net as a free-flowing, free-for-all kind of place where they can cobble together an opinion or idea and declare it their own. How do we educate our students to give “credit where credit is due”? That is the real crux of what it means to teach in the digital age…
