• Kodu – Microsoft Research – Kodu is a new visual programming language made specifically for creating games. It is designed to be accessible for children and enjoyable for anyone. The programming environment runs on the Xbox, allowing rapid design iteration using only a game controller for input.
  ***Note- Kodu is in Beta public access- for the PC! no need for an xbox!
• 10 Rules for Increasing Community Engagement – something to think about when creating any type of community… a classroom? the Maryland DEN?

• Crappy Graphs! by Brian Shaler – hilarious site to make graphs that are actually not that crappy!
• Cyberbullying: Understanding and Addressing Online Cruelty – excellent lesson plan on dealing with and preventing cyber bullying

• Protecting Reputations Online in Plain English – Common Craft – Our Product is Explanation – perfect for a unit on students’ online identity
• Soups, Stews & Chilies – free ebook – this site reminds me a lot of Coverleaf, which I love. Again, having the digital cookbook is helping in my paper-eradication quest!
• Overview (Powerful Ingredients for Blended Learning) – I have to set aside time to read through all of these resources. I have a unit coming up in one of my middle school classes on personal digital footprints, and these resources are invaluable!
• Education News Archive :: 100+ Google Tricks for Teachers – an amazing list of cool things to do with Google!
