Watch the videos and tell me whether you think the fan film helps or hurts the franchise and how. What are the dangers of letting fans make up their own StarWars-based stories?

I really liked Star Wars but I did not think this video was in the same caliber of the Lucas film. I thought the video was boring but I continued to watch to see if any lines had been crossed. I do not think that the video infringed on Star Wars but, it was a pale rendition of the true story. The danger of fan-based stories is that someone could alter the character personalities and not being true to the story line might hurt the franchise.
