The Biggest User

Cindy Lane and Lee Kolbert presented a session on web 2.0 at FETC 2010 called ‘The Biggest User.’

Here is the session description:

What Web 2.0 Tools do you use in your classroom? Come and help us decide which tools belong in the “Biggest User.” A wiki will be provided to the audience of this interactive presentation! All applications must be free, able to work in both platforms and easy to use in all K-12 subject areas in order to make it to the final round before being voted on during this presentation! Be ready to find some new and powerful tools to promote better learning and understanding in your Web 2.0 classroom!

Cindy and Lee aired their presentation live on Ustream, but archived it for future viewings. Watch the session from the comfort of your own home or school.

DEN SciCon 2010

den-2.jpgToday was an all day online free conference sponsored by the DEN, focusing on transforming science classes through the use of digital media.  I was not able to attend one of the many live events that occurred all around the country but I did get to attend from home.  Some of the presenters were Lance Rougeux, Brad Fountain, Patti Duncan, and Mike Bryant.  The big event of the day was Polar Bears in a Changing Climate with Julene Reed. The chat room was crowded and flowing with ideas.  Lance created a Google spreadsheet for DEN members to save all great tools and ideas.  You can access that document here.  Maybe you even have some links of your own to share.  The webinar itself was archived and will be available soon right here.NY held its live event at Discovery Times Square Expo.  If you were one of the lucky ones to attend, tell us all about it! And share some pics!
