Can You Share Your Efforts?
February 3rd, 2009 by Patricia Hawkenson in Uncategorized

Jennifer Dorman, DEN blogger from Pennsylvania, is working on aggregating ways that educators are using DE Streaming to teach about the Civil War.  If you are using DE Streaming videos and materials in your classroom, please consider sharing your efforts.  Read all about how you can contribute by reading her blog (and new content as well) by checking out this link to the Pennsylvania Blog:  http://blog.discoveryeducation.com/pennsylvania.

In the DE streaming Plus pack, there are 62 full videos, 75 video segments, and 287 images (as of Jan. 26, 2009.)

The purpose of this form is to gather as many ideas for how that media could be used in the development of instructional materials, student activities, products, and/or assessments to help students at all levels learn about and share their learning of the American Civil War.  The ideas you share could be embedded within any curriculum area and do not need to be limited to social studies.

So, take a few minutes and share your ideas.

You can view the results of this form online at http://bit.ly/dbtT.

Even if you don’t teach the Civil War, but have ideas for how it could be done, she would love to archive ALL ideas.
