I just finished a phone interview with Discovery for the possibility of being a part of the pilot adventures offered this summer.  WOW!  This is an amazing opportunity for four of my students and I hope I represented them well.  If accepted, my students will have the chance to travel to CHINA!  They could:

• Learn Kung fu, alongside highly disciplined Chinese students, at the famed Shaolin Tagou Martial Arts School, the same institution Russian president Vladimir Putin chose to send his children.
• Trek across the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, thousands of years old, 3000 miles long and every inch as impressive as you’ve imagined.
• Visit Beijing’s remarkable National Stadium, the “Bird Nest,” unforgettable as the backdrop to the 2008 Olympics. In a country obsessed with athletic performance, they’ll also have the opportunity to interact with athletes training for the 2012 Games.
• Contribute to humanitarian efforts in local communities by helping the children of an orphanage with their English skills.
