Today was the first day back for teachers and staff in our school district.  We got all of the administrative information dissemination out of the way, so the rest of the week will be dedicated to professional development and department-specific training, plus classroom preparation.  Our high school enrollment is down from 3700+ to 3300+ due to a new high school in our district.  Still a lot of kiddos, but we are all anticipating less crowded hallways and fewer disciplinary issues.

Due to my busy-ness in early August, I totally missed this monumental milestone.  Gifts and cash in large denominations are still being accepted.

I wish I had read this earlier in the year.  I would have made it required reading over the summer for my Pre-AP and AP Physics classes.
