I’ve been tagged by Fred Delventhal to contribute to this meme. The idea is that you share 7 things about yourself that would be unknown to your readers. Here are the rules:

• Link your original tagger(s), and list these rules on your blog.
• Share seven facts about yourself in the post - some random, some weird.

• Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blogs and/or Twitter and/or Plurk.

I’ve been thinking about the 7 things I want to share, but this is turning out to be more difficult than I thought.  It has made me remember some really funny things and some not-so-funny (borderline embarrassing) things, too.  Well, here goes:

The 7 things you probably don’t know about me are:

1. In high school and college, I sported shoulder-length hair (the 70s and 80s were really, really tough)
2. In a previous life, I played the piano, french horn, and trumpet.  One of my biggest regrets in life is not continuing piano lessons.
3. I have never read a “Harry Potter” book, and I have only seen the first movie.
4. I was the Waller County (Texas) Spelling Bee Champion in junior high school.
5. I was the Valedictorian of my high school graduating class (I was the top 2% since there were only 48 graduates that year).
6. I have a photograph of me “standin’ on a corner in Winslow Arizona.”  (if you don’t know the band, you’re too young)
7. I was born in Texas, but I lived in California for four years and Colorado for one and one-half years.  We kept leaving Texas and moving back, so I hope we are back to stay now.
