I just ran across a wonderful way to use Wordle in the classroom! Thanks to Jenn Wagner for setting up such a creative site!

Every day a new wordle will be posted for students to view.  Each wordle has a TOPIC and diciphering skills are needed to figure out exactly what that topic is. Then by using the google form, you are invited to share what you think that topic is.

You are also invited to create your own WORDLE.

Recently the DEN presented awards to a few of the 5,500 Discovery STAR members and I was fortunate to be a recipient!  I am still amazed at the thought of receiving the DENthusiasm award!  The Discovery Educator Network encourages us to do our best, share, help each other, and have fun learning-just like our kindergarten teacher did.  Who wouldn’t be enthusiastic about that?

Thanks DEN! I am honored!

Did you know that recycling one aluminum can will save enough energy to power a TV for three hours? Did you know that 14 recycled plastic bottles yield enough fiberfill for a ski jacket?

Waste Management’s new Think Green widget will show you the rewards of your recycling in real terms. Simply enter how much of each item you’ve recycled and instantly see the effects of your recycling in terms that relate to your lifestyle.
