I have a 7th grade class at Stafford Middle School that would like to do a Cover It Live session with another 7th grade class connected to the state framework 7.4 which is about food preservation/bacteria. They would like to collaborate either with a lab or a blogging session about the topic. Any interested teachers should contact Christine Griswold, Grade 7 Teacher, Stafford Middle School at griswoldc@stafford.ctschool.net
Our 7th graders are reading Schooled or the Misfits and responding to discussions through a wiki about the novels with their reading teachers. They will then work with other schools to have discussions about bullying through a Cover it Live session. They will use their findings and book experiences to create public service announcments about bullying.
We are looking for partner classes to work with us on Cover it Live or face to face Skype sessions about bullying and having discussions with it in relation to the book (if possible) and their lives. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
If you are interested, please contact Lynn Reedy at reedyl@stafford.ctschool.net

I was going to use Yack Pack for a project I have with a class in Canada. It seems that the site is down and won’t be back up again. Does anyone have any suggestions for a similar site (leaving a voice message for others to hear whenever they want)?

I am currently working with a high school Civics class and using Voice Thread. They have commented with their views on several topics from the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debate. I am looking for high school classes to respond to these students. Our Voice Thread link is: http://voicethread.com/share/198633/
We have opened the thread up to allow comments. All comments will be moderated. Please let me know if you are interested. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at: reedyl@stafford.ctschool.net
I’d like to thank the many Second Life avatars for supporting me during my first presentation this summer in Second Life. I have received several emails from educators thanking me for providing them with resources to use with their SMARTboard. I enjoyed my time presenting and I look forward to doing another one soon.

Resources from the evening:
A video tutorial on how to download a DE streaming clip, view it with the SMART video player on a pc, then write notes on the video and capture those pages.
My website filled with SMARTboard lessons, links to interactive websites for grades K-12, and SMARTboard resources.
My slideshare of the presentation from the workshop in Second Life.

Please join me on Wednesday, July 30 at 8:00 EST for my first Second Life workshop about SMARTboards. I will be discussing various funding strategies, providing resources for implementation, and information on programs that SMART Technologies provides SMART educators.
