10-14-09 Today’s Blog Question: Is there anything you don’t know about baseball that you’d like to know? What types of math do you think might be involved in our World Series Project?
do we have to add both national leage eastern division and american league eastern division
What type of like math are we going to be usen
um i woould like to know how baseball actually works ; like i get the score stuff and like bases but i just don’t get what it’s all about!
I actually dont like baseball
even though i dislike baseball. im willing to learn more about it. but i think its reeeeeeaaaaaaalllllyyyyyy boring 2 watch. but wat evr.

I actuallly do not like baseball at all. I do not know anything about baseball except you have to hit the ball with a bat and you have to run bases. I really only know the basics. I would like to know alittle bit more about baseball.
my dad is really into baseball and i am glad that we are doing a project about baseball. it would be nice to get to know more about the sport so when my dad watches baseball we can talk more about it together. i also think this will be a very fun project to work on. it is about math but it is also about a fun sport. i think by putting a sport with a math project makes kids more excited about working on this project.
well, i dont really know that much about baseball, i only know the basics lol. like a home run and when the batter is batting and that stuff other than that i dont know anything. so im hopping to learn a lot more about baseball while im doing this project. the reason i dont know that much about baseball because my family is into football:) i dont really lke that sport to much because i cant really play at all.
i know alot about baseballl but i feel that i need to know more . i need to no little things and i need to no like how little details thats all i need to know.
Idon’t know much about baseball because I don’t like it or watch it. So I need to know alot of stuff about it. I think that we will have to use all sorts of math for this project.
i like base ball but dont watch it as much because it is a very slow sport. i preffer hockey. but i love the boston redsox and try to follow them throughout the season. and watch there trade between other teams ect.
in baseball they use adding and multiplication to find the overall averages..
I know enought about baseball i dont really watch it much my moms the baseball fan in are family. Even thought i dont watch baseball much i still know alot about it. But i would like to learn more.
i know alot of stuff about baseball. The only things i dont know are probally the players mostly. I know the basics about almost everything. Like batting, throwing, catching, outfielding and stances/ posittions. I would want to more professional stuff in baseball.

I kindda know about baseball since my brother plays but i would like to know a little bit more. I think were going to learn fraction, decimals,etc….
Im not a big baseball fan because it is a slow sport but i do know enough about it to follow it. I am a Yankees fan and i try to follow their season.

Why are there only 9 innings in 1 game? Why cant there be 3,5, or 8 innings. There is a lot of math at a baseball game. You can estimate how far a ball goes in the air.

i dont know much about baseball. My dad 10 knows a lot a lot about it. the most i know about basball is the yankees.

I dont like baseball I think its really boring and hard to understand the only thing I understand about it is that you go up to bat hit the ball and run other than that I think its confusing. I think for this project we will have to use a lot of division and mulitipication.
i dony think there is that much math needed in baseball cause all u need to now is the scores and how to caculate them. i think this priject will be really fun
When evr my dad gets tickets to the blue claws game we go and we get the box seats =D

I know that in baseball you have to have a certain number of runs and hits to score points to win.
Well, I really don’t know MUCH about baseball, but I want to learn MORE about it. Obviously, almost all of us know the basics of it, bat; ball; bases; running; mph; etc.. but there is ALOT more to learn about I am guessing; but I want to know more. :] (:

I really don’t know baseball but I know that they need a bat a ball ,that it has like bases and they need like uniforms.
The types of math in baseball is every from geomatry to multiplication.
I don’t know that much about baseball because i don’t like it.I know that you have to hit the ball to score or a homerun. On defence youm have to catch the ball to get three outs.
i’ve only ever seen one minor league baseball game with camp. I know about innings and outs and stuff, but i dont really get the game. What is the point what are they trying to do? Is it just to get more points and to get the other team out?
Some things i picked up from watching baseball were how to get a grand slam. To get a grand slam you must hit a home run when three people are on the bases. Another thing i learned was that a baseball is thrown measured by miles per hour.
I don’t know that much about baseball and there’s not much i want to know-.

here’s a little backround information about baseball! um when you make it around every base and get to home ; it’s a run; also if a ball goes over the fence.. it’s a homerun!
baseball? not somthinq i like. borinq! and maybe somtimes its excitinq but i dont know. i qet all the basic stuff -&- score keppinq – but i’ll learn
umm well i really cant explain baseball because i dont know to much about it. but i can explain some of it, i know that you have to play against other teams and win to get to the play-offs. if u win in the play-offs then u go to a higher thing and if u win then u get a trophy. thats all i know about baseball so far:) and im hoping to learn more.

I would have to agree with Justin. I would not perfer hockey but I would like to do basketball. Even though I like basketball alot but if I had to pick a team that I would like to win the World Series, it would have to be the Yankees.

well i know little things about baseball like how there is innings and there is fouls balls and homeruns but i know as well that math is involed with baseball like the averge batting and how many homeruns are in a inning and all that suff thats all i no about the baseball games sooooo yah:)

Baseball would be more fun if….. well it envolves some math to figure out percentages, average, and you will need to know ur basic math terms such as multiply divide add and subtract : D
i personaly dont like to watch baseball.but i would play it
well i know some things about baseball, but not a lot. i’d like to know how many outs there is in order to switch position and stuff. The math we might learn has to do with how many homeruns they run in total and how many strikes this is how math is involved.
I really dont know anything about baseball, except for the fact you run bases when you hit the ball xD… i find the sport VERY boring, i think thats why i only know maybe 3 teams :] BUT !, i am willing to learn more teams and more about the sport
