Congrats to everyone who shared, shared and shared some more! Our group had a great time and were rushing home after our in-person event to catch the last couple of repeated webex presentations. They really did not want to leave because they were learning so many great things. I think we really got the word out about the strength of our DEN Management Team. You guys are the best and we appreciate you tons! Now, take a well-deserved rest (esp. Jannita) since you deserve it!

I am so excited about the Virtual Conference and the possibility of gaining new STARS! Thank you Jannita for coordinating this incredible event. You are certainly the queen of all coordination and I bow (or is it curtsy) to you! The best part is that my colleagues will now get to meet some of the awesome Discovery staff that I talk about so often. Be sure and get the word out in your district! ~Susan

Just returned from our state conference where I met face-to-face with our new Events Chair, Gwen Thomas, who is amazing! We are already beginning preparations for the big DEN event ~ 02.02.08! She is one of my new South LA buddies I met while sharing at LACUE. We are also on the verge of formally launching our state LC, which is also very exciting. Next year, I hope DEN has a major presence at the conference and we will be reflecting back to this time and remembering how much we have grown. Although I mostly shared information, I picked up a few ideas from the conference that I will share on our state blog soon. One product that totally intrigued me is the “dumb terminal” from N-Computing. Their products expand an existing PC from 3 to 30 terminals by using the untapped resources in the CPU. I have requested some equipment on a trial basis and will let you know how that works out. Let me know if anyone else knows about this product and how it has worked for them.

Check out this video I came across while surfing. I think I will use it in an upcoming regional presentation and maybe in a state presentation in November. Let me know what you think.
