Thats it Mark. The sell is in the nature of the usefulness of the tools. I stay away from using terms like bag of tricks because TM flow naturally from the metacogantive process. Teacher's who are successful are modeling the use of these tools to students. Students adopt and use TM to help them visualize, conceptualize, and modify knowledge and information. So then, we have become successful because our kids are in the higher order thinking levels processing the information. And the kids are successful in passing the problem solving and process TEKS.

Great job presenting Thinking Maps! The graphic organizers and thinking maps that are based on brain research are the best (IMHO). I have had successful experience training teachers and students to use variations of thinking maps. The key is getting teachers to buy in and use them consistently.

Well, I have moved the first intro blog from the uncategorized to my blog about what is Thinking Maps and how are they used in classroom instruction. Currently, i am requesting permission from the publisher to permit use of their product because of copyright protection. Also, I am planning to present an intro to Thinking Map use May 7th at the DEN. Details are coming soon so check the blog. I think that you will think Thinking Maps are cool.
