Some people don’t understand social networking, Twitter, Plurk, and see it as hazardous to your health, but I disagree. It is a way to connect with people that I would never meet or only once at a conference. It is a way to stay connected.
When I first heard of Twitter, I though, what was the point. 140 characters sharing news about what your up to to total strangers, how is that going to help me.
I signed up anyway and one of the first people I followed was Kevin Jarrett http://twitter.com/kjarrett I was following him before on his website http://www.ncs-tech.org/ and on the EdTech listserv http://www.h-net.org/~edweb/ Twitter provided me a quick way to access Kevin and speak (tweet) to him and gain great resources and also to see what he was doing and the people he was following.
