So many people limit their thinking of Web 2.0 to blogs and wikis, but it’s so much more. So here’s my working definition of this thing we call Web 2.0:
- MagToo – Facebook slideshows, MySpace, slideshow, photo sharing, zoom, panorama, trip, photo, resizing – Magnify Your World – MagToo is an image widget application and portal site which allows users to create slide shows with a unique magnifier tool, and immersive 360 degree panorama style shows. Furthermore, users can share these on social network sites (Facebook, MySpace, etc.), as well as create virtual “travelogues” on Google maps. MagToo’s virtual travelogue is a unique feature unavailable on other image widgets, and allows users to map and share their travels with slide and panorama shows.

- Insert Photographs – The image search feature of Offisync is pretty similar to the built-in Clip Art gallery search. Upon installation, Offisync will add a new Google Search option to your Office Toolbar – you can directly search for pictures and then insert any one of them into document or presentation that you are currently working on.
- Manage your bibliography online and collaborate with other researchers | Mendeley – Mendeley is free social software for managing and sharing research papers. It is also a Web 2.0 site for discovering research trends and connecting to like-minded academics.
