Special Interest Group (SIG) Elementary Education
It’s been a busy week leading up to Spring Break. Getting back to my experiences at the 33rd annual MACUL conference.
I enjoyed meeting up with many teachers I have been following on Twitter/Plurk. (@mrlosik, @glo, @bcgeek). It was a great way to network and share face to face new technologies people have been using in the classroom. I learned about a few new web goodies there, too. Xtranormal is a great site to make text to video clips. It is a great way to introduce story telling to students. Secret Builders is a unique virtual world, geared towards Kindergarten through Eighth grade crowd. The Utah Education Network – UEN interactives was also mentioned. Michigan is working on it’s own version of organizing curicular websites through MeL and MORE.
