What You’ll Learn
During the webinar, which will be archived on TGR EDU: Explore, higher-education experts from the Tiger Woods Foundation will discuss how high school students can prepare for the college admissions process. The session will focus on highlighting the importance of self-advocacy in students and what self-advocacy looks like in the college process.
Viewers will gain insights on specific strategies that can assist students in feeling confident to advocate for themselves as they search for their college fit. Educators and counselors will benefit from sample activities that encourage students to act and communicate as young professionals, giving them the necessary tools to stand out throughout the college application process. From the power of social media to engaging digital tools for educators to use in the classroom, the session will also provide concrete tools, tips, and resources that will allow educators to present information to their students in a meaningful way.
